Trent Reznor Drafted For Ken Burns Vietnam War Documentary

When Trent Reznor’s Nine Inch Nails released a surprise EP at the end of 2016, he also promised much more music was coming in 2017. Specifically, he stated two new “major works” from Nine Inch Nails are planned. In addition, the Reznor/Ross announcement of the Patriots Day soundtrack release would seem imminent.

Now comes the news that Reznor and Ross have been drafted by legendary documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, and they’re all going to war.

The Vietnam War will be a 10 part, 18-hour documentary set to air in September on PBS. The New York Times reports the series will feature over two hours of new music from Reznor and Ross, as well as reworked “bits” from their previous scores. Some reworked Nine Inch Nails material is also to be included.
