Look, I really wanted to like this album. I liked the last two Jack White albums a lot. I even made a point of going to Third Man Records to buy one of them.
But Boarding House Reach is a trainwreck.
I have mad respect for White’s skills and songwriting, but this album is a half-baked mess. Some might call it experimental, but I think that’s being generous.
