I know St. Patrick’s Day is still two months off, but your musical soundtrack for the day has just been defined. You’ll be listening to the new album by Spoon on repeat.
Side note: St. Patrick’s Day is on a Friday this year? That’s gonna be a hot mess.
Speaking of hot, Hot Thoughts is the new album title. Spoon announced the March 17th album release during an interview on Sirius XM, where they also confirmed their plans to play South By Southwest. The SXSW appearance isn’t much of a surprise considering the fact that the band is based out of Austin.
There’s no track list or official cover art for the album yet, though the mysterious image posted to their website and Facebook page last month may be a preview. Around the same time, the band also shared the first song from the album, “I Ain’t The One”… which was later removed from YouTube.
This past weekend, though, Spoon played a surprise gig and debuted some of the new music. Check out pictures and more from the event here.
