For Barenaked Ladies fans, 2017 is turning out to be a pretty great year. The band partnered with vocal group The Persuasions for an album reworking many of their hits back in April. Now, BNL have announced another new album is set for release on November 17. Fake Nudes will be the fifteenth studio album from the boys from Canada.
Well known for keeping humor at the core of their songwriting, Barenaked Ladies are certainly not considered a particularly political band. So while the album title is a sly play on words from the American political landscape, it’s also likely as deep as they’ll go into any serious issues. But kudos to them for making the joke that only they could get away with.
Naturally, the group will be on tour to support the album, and if you get a chance, I highly recommend checking them out. I’ve seen Barenaked Ladies in concert more than just about any other band, and they are easily the most fun live act I’ve experienced.
