Priscilla Renea is one of the best new artists I’ve heard in a long time. Except she’s not really a new artist.
Technically speaking, Renea released her debut album nine years ago, but it went nowhere. In the years since, she’s been working primarily as a songwriter, delivering hits for major artists including Rihanna, Madonna, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Fifth Harmony.
Now that she’s more than paid her dues, Priscilla Renea is returning to the spotlight… with a country album? Well, not exactly. But it is a fascinating genre hybrid, and one of the best albums of the year as well!
